| What is Personal Training...? |
|
“I have lost one and a half stone and have dropped two dress sizes with Take Shape’s help” Catriona Neil, Take Shape Client At a basic level personal training identifies the best exercises for you and takes you though these exercises with the hope of you losing weight. At a more advanced level personal training works in partnership with you to identify your unique needs and motivations to improve, not just your fitness or body fat levels, but the quality of your health and your life. To help identify what you will receive from a personal trainer we have (rather crudely!) highlighted how much you pay for a personal trainer and what you will receive. And if you hadn’t guessed already we charge about the £50 mark per hour. £25 per hour – either subsidised by a club or company. £30 – a new trainer, probably just recently qualified, in a big commercial gym. £35 – a trainer with a years experience and with an entry level personal training qualification. £40 – a good trainer with over a years experience and entry level qualification being supplemented with further courses, maybe coming to your home or in the park. £45 – well qualified, degree etc, full client base and a good venue to practice from. £50 – a highly qualified trainer with a sports science degree plus other highly regarded further qualifications such as CHEK, ACSM, NASM, ACE etc. Over three years experience and working out of a private personal training studio or a large gym with space for personal training work. Additional experience and qualifications in motivational techniques and health & lifestyle interventions. A long list of satisfied clients who enjoy their training. £70 – as above but in London. |
