Where does the personal training take place?

All personal training takes place in and around Take Shape's exclusive studio and outdoor gym in Bletchingley, near Redhill, Surrey.

Why should I pay more for personal training and not just join a gym?

Because it is a cost effective way of making sure you get the results you want. A recent study by Sainsbury’s Bank that found gym lock-in clauses cost Britons about £200 million a year in wasted cash.  At Take Shape we do not charge any membership or joining fees you only pay for the time you are actually here and exercising.  And when you are here and exercising you are getting the personal attention of a highly qualified trainer ensuring you achieve results.

How is Take Shape different from a lone personal trainer?

There are many fantastic personal trainers out there but there are also those that are not so good.  Take Shape only recruit the best, vet all their qualifications and then train them to the Take Shape system.

What is the Take Shape System?

Take Shape was set-up and is run by highly qualified and experienced trainers.  Over the years we have pooled all our knowledge and research to come up with a series of guidelines, tools and strategies that one of our trainers can pick and choose from to make sure their client gets the best training and therefore results.

Can I train at the studio when not with my personal trainer?

Yes the studio is open on Friday afternoons/evening, Saturday and Sunday for personal training clients to undertake some of their programme.

Can I use other gyms as well?

Yes, some of our clients are members of other gyms but want that little bit extra from the experts at Take Shape.  Without membership fees Take Shape is no more expensive than personal training at a gym.

What else do I get for my money?

Personal training at Take Shape is not just about the time spent in the gym with your trainer.  We have many ways to work with you to improve your lifestyle for the better helping you to be fitter, happier and healthier.  View more training information.

Are you insured?

Yes all trainers are insured to a minimum of £2m.

How do I know if your qualifications are relevant?

We have lots and varied qualifications but there is one regulatory body called the Register of Exercise Professionals.  The highest level on the register in Level 3, the personal trainer level.  As a minimum all are trainers are level 3 qualified.  The certificates are displayed on the wall in the studio and a web search by name can be done at  http://www.exerciseregister.org/

Can I train with a friend?

We don’t recommend it because you end up getting less than half the service when the trainers time is divided but paying more than half the price.

Can I bring my own personal trainer to use the studio and/or the assault course?

We do not let other personal trainers use the studio to ensure that it is never too busy and to control the quality of training in our studio.  We do sometimes let other trainers use the assault course once they have an induction and agreed to the safety terms and conditions.

How do you get results?

We work with you to set your own goals and your own way of achieving them.  Then with our continued help you will achieve them because it is your own way.

How much will it cost?

It depends on what you want, when and how.  There are no membership fees you simply pay for your personal training by the hour session. This means you only pay for the time you are actually here! From £40 per session depending on commitment. A minimum of 5 sessions must be booked.  Please contact us for a free consultation.
